Green cable: Onshore power supply for tankers
Electrification or fuel end use
Vessel shore power (high-voltage)
Project overview
The Port of Gothenburg's Onshore Power Supply project for tankers provides 2 MW of green electricity per jetty, reducing 1,200 tonnes of CO2 annually. Designed for hazardous environments, the system uses overpressure to prevent explosions during loading. The project sets a new global standard for shoreside power in energy terminals.
