Project overview
The Antwerp North Heat Network, launched in 2024, delivers carbon-free residual heat from Indaver to Boortmalt, replacing natural gas in the malt production process. This first 'open access' heat network in Belgium aims to reduce CO2 emissions by 80,000 tonnes annually, benefiting industry, schools, public buildings, and 3,200 households.
