ECOncrete bio-enhancing shoreline armoring
Project overview
Serving as an alternative to traditional riprap, 74 units of tidepool shoreline armor technology called Coastalock were installed along the San Diego Bay shoreline in a single layer. This pilot technology successfully creates and mimics natural habitats, stabilizes shorelines, increases biodiversity, species richness, and abundance and provides ecological armoring.
