In partnership with Swell Advantage, a digital application was developed to assist marina management automate and optimize their operations to enhance customer experience. The smart marina app supports slip allocation (using an established point of sale company) and boater communications, resulting in increased revenue and a better understanding of operations efficiency.

Port of Brisbane has leveraged its award-winning physics-based vessel management system, NCOS Online, to further optimize a vessel’s target speed, within operational transit windows, to reduce emissions. This "Green Button" functionality uses an accurate vessel emissions algorithm, and trials resulted in the first five vessels trialed (collaborating with Maersk and CMA CGM) using the tool realized results exceeding expectations, with a reduction of 51% for one of the vessels. Further savings up to 71% for one of the vessels being possible with better operational support for pilots to closely adhere to recommend dynamic speed profiles necessary to get the full benefits.

The device will automatically detect aluminum, copper, lead, zinc, and nickel at once, delivering results weeks faster than traditional laboratory methods.

HyperKelp Inc. will demonstrate Kelp Smart Buoys at 5 tideland points that gather and consolidate data in real time and send results to an online platform. The buoys support environmental initiatives by monitoring "underwater noise levels, atmospheric carbon dioxide concentrations, and water quality parameters."
