Project overview

This project designed and deployed a marine vessel that uses skimming technology to remove debris. During the trial period, the vessel collected 110,000 pounds of debris from the San Diego Bay. A database logged details about the collections, as well as tracked variables that influence marine debris accumulation in the Bay, such as seasons, weather events, and tide.\
